We enjoyed our time showing off our well established CM8 controller at PLASTPOL's exhibition at the TargiKielce center in Poland. The opportunity to introduce one of our new line of inovations for the controller went down well with our working demonstration of "Coolant Flow" monitoring.
We are very much looking forward to introducing the next generation of CM8 controller software at the Fakuma exhibition later this year. One of the new developments includes easy & secured remote access for authorised personell to monitor & administer multiple controllers from their smart phone or desk computer.

EFI are pleased to announce the launch of the new 12 Zone Kompact controller. The Kompact is a floor-standing, robust controller designed for the general-purpose moulding market.
The Kompact has been designed to reduce maintenance and improve ease of use. The display can be remotely mounted and there is a wireless option available.

The latest release of CM8 software now adds the option of a hardware security key to enable access to the setup parameters. With this feature activated, access to the parameter setup is only possible with the security key fitted, preventing unauthorised access
This software, Version 2.4 / 2.5 is now fitted as standard on all CM8 controllers and is available as a free of charge upgrade.

EFI have expanded their range of low voltage versions of the CM8 hot runner controller with the launch of the CM8-5V, a unit compatible with Ewikon and Gunther 5V systems.

EFI are pleased to announce the launch of a Seiki Spear compatible version of the CM8 controller. This derivative of the CM8 encompasses the same durability, reliability and ease of use in a system compatible with the Seiki Spear low-voltage tooling systems.
EFI are also able to supply Seiki-Spear compatible bushings that are mechanically indentical, have a thermocouple fitted and are at a lower price than Seiki original units.

EFI are pleased to announce the launch of the CM8 Lite. This derivative of the CM8 encompasses the same durability, reliability and ease of use in a simpler cabinet with capability of up to 16 zones of 16 Amps each - ideal for general moulding applications - and at a lower price than the equivalent standard unit.

EFI had a successful PDM with contact made with a number of new potential customers and businesses.

August saw the launch of the low voltage version of the DUO controller.
As well as the two 240V control outputs, this version as a 24V output in parallel to the 240V of the zone 1 enabling the control of Plasthing bushings.

Based on the market-leading CM8 controller, the CM8-5LV has the same robust construction, ease of use and ease of maintenance.

We are starting to take requests for places on our next Hot Runner training course, which we are hoping will take place in April.
These courses are run at G & A Peterborough and are free of charge. We provide all the materials and even provide refreshments on this one day course that covers the fundementals of control theory and uses practical demonstrations to fully illustrate the capabilities of the CM8 hot runner controller.
Each course is strictly limited to a maximum of 15 people and they do fill up fast. However, there is no limit to the number of people from anyone company.

E F I are pleased to announce the signing of a new business agreement with Injection Point of Italy.
Injection Point is based in Turin and specialises in both 240V and 24V tools, building on over 25 years of experience in the industry.
Injection Point will be manufacturing all of E F I's range of hot runner controllers as well as providing technical support for existing customers.

July 2006 saw the launch of the VISIONS 3000 at the NPE show in Chicago, USA.
The CM8 is manufactured under license by our business partners in the USA, ITC Limited, and marketed as the VISIONS 3000.
The show was very well attended and there was a lot of interest in the controller.
